I very frequently feel so much like she does here...everyone is so free to be however they want and we don't criticize them, but then we screw up a little and they all come down on us like a ton of bricks , like LaLa here....and WE'RE the problem? WE'RE the crazy, Brain-Damaged ones? RIGGGHHHT! I hope she is well and living her best life. (And I hope she's sober, cause I want her to be healthy and well for a long time to come.)

It took me two thirty day treatment programs, nine trips to the local dry out tank, a brief holiday stay at a mental hospital, support from the local mental health support services, countless therapy and counseling sessions, and hundreds of AA meetings for me to get and stay sober for any amount of time. I had developed fatty liver, and was prone to seizures when my blood alcohol level dropped. Once I had lost my vital signs and the paramedic on duty thought I was dead for sure. Lucky me I lived through that one. Even knowing the dangers I couldn't stay off it for long. Finally I made it past a few months to try to "show" some boyfriend at the time I wasn't a hopeless drunk, and made it one day at a time to over a year, then two, then three...and here I am still putting off that next drink somehow after thirty seven years. If I was to start again now I'd not have a chance of ever recovering again. I still have all of my many problems, the same ones you listed above, and now realize my autism as well. Sometimes life is horrible and I don't want to be here anymore but I now have an autistic kid who needs me here. Life is torture one way or another, but I just don't drink alcohol anymore. That is the one little change I made to keep me from being a menace to society.

@@Tinger_90 I probably did. But usually it was six packs. I'd get one after work around dinner time but then usually be back at 7-11 just before they stopped selling alcohol at 12 or 1 or whenever to get another six pack. I was only apt to get a quart when I was trying to take it" easy" on the beer. Hahaha. Hard liquor went too fast and I'd drink the whole bottle in a night, and was prone to wrecking my car, so I learned not to even get that anymore. By the time I graduated high school i was pretty far gone. If I could eventually quit, anyone can if they want to bad enough. I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Tired of being a traveling freak show.

The time I had the seizure I'd had four quarts that day between six a.m. and six that evening. My BAC was registering as three times the legal limit but I went int withdrawl at that level. DTS suck ass and seizures are scary AF. Don't think I could survive it all again.

You never can tell with this guy. He really does seem to be thinking a lot about this stuff lately. Wish he'd quit drinking full on.

sadly my Daphne passed on July 6th. She had a transitional carcinoma in her sino-nasal area. I miss her so much!

@@DankyTheClown Thank you. She loved watching "Rusty-Roo" videos with me (Eric Brandt's doggie, Rusty the Weiner Dog.)She wanted to play with Rusty, and she usually doesn't like other dogs! Her ears would go up and she would just watch him and smile and laugh...<3
